A Collaboration Between the MN EHR Consortium and SHADAC

This report is a collaboration between the MN EHR Consortium and the University of Minnesota's SHADAC team. Using information from the MN EHR Consortium, this new report examines disparities in the state's campaign to vaccinate people against COVID-19. Focusing primarily on adults, vaccination rates at the end of 2022 are presented by age, race and ethnicity, gender, and community type (urban/rural). The report also looks at the length of time to immunize a majority of people by different subpopulations.
The results of this report show how policy choices to prioritize some groups in Minnesota, such as elderly people, quickly protected a few vulnerable populations while struggling to vaccinate other high-risk groups.
